- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add chicken strips to the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken along with the marinade.
- Cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Add the slurry to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken overnight for better flavor.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables.
