- 1 pound sausage
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 8 cups bread cubes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned.
- Add onions and celery; sauté until soft.
- Mix in diced apples and cook for another 2 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes and sausage mixture.
- Pour in chicken broth and mix well.
- Add sage, thyme, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
