Description

This dish features tender meatballs in a creamy sauce, cooked quickly in an Instant Pot.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form mixture into small meatballs.
  3. Set Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
  4. Brown meatballs in batches, then remove and set aside.
  5. Add beef broth to the pot, scraping up any bits from the bottom.
  6. Return meatballs to the pot and close the lid.
  7. Set to pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Release pressure and remove the lid.
  9. In a bowl, mix sour cream and flour, then stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
  10. Serve meatballs with sauce over noodles or rice.

Notes

  • You can use all beef or all pork if preferred.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve with lingonberry sauce for a traditional touch.
