Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk oil, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk together.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- You can add chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container.
- Frost with your favorite chocolate icing after cooling.
