Ingredients

- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil sweet potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and return sweet potatoes to pot.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until it turns brown and nutty.
- Add brown butter and milk to sweet potatoes.
- Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
- Top with chives for garnish.
