Description

Baked Ziti is a classic Italian-American dish made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  6. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Mix in the meat sauce until well combined.
  9. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
