- 2 large onions, sliced into rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the onions into rings and separate them.
- In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the rings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spray the rings lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush BBQ sauce on the rings and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
- Serve with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- For spicier rings, add cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
